Xpense is a personal finance web app by Credeer. You write what you spent in a sentence ("lunch 14.50"), and it keeps a running ledger, plans budgets by category, tracks recurring bills, savings goals and shopping trips (alone or with a partner, friend or housemates), and shows what is still available this month. Access is invite-only for now and sign-in is with Google. The app works without an account on sample data at https://xpense.credeer.com/app?demo=1.

## Key features

- Quick-write ledger: type an entry in plain English with an amount, optional category tag and date.
- Budgets that warn early: category limits, carry-over, and alerts only when a category can still go over.
- Balance brought forward, and pay that counts toward the following month.
- Recurring bills: monthly, every few months or yearly, including bills that change each time.
- Goals: a target, a date and the monthly amount that keeps you on pace.
- Shopping trips: item-by-item with tax, solo or shared, with who owes whom worked out.
- Credit card tracking that does not count spending twice.

## Privacy

Data stays on your device until you sign in. Signed-in data is stored in your own account, encrypted in transit and at rest (not end-to-end encrypted), never sold, with no ads. ## For AI agents and automation

- Public pages, sitemap.xml, robots.txt and this file are not rate limited. Please crawl politely.
- The signed-in API is limited per user, generously: about 120 reads and 60 saves a minute, and 5 deletes an hour. Sign-in requests are limited per address (about 90 a minute).
- Every API response carries RateLimit-Limit, RateLimit-Remaining and RateLimit-Reset headers. When you are over a limit you get HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header (seconds) and a JSON body saying when to retry. Wait that long and try again.
