Xpense by Credeer

Terms of use

The ground rules.

These terms are an agreement between you and Credeer, the maker of Xpense. By signing in or using Xpense you accept them. Last updated October 3, 2026.

The short version

  • Xpense is a tool for keeping track of your own money. It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice.
  • Access is by invitation for now. We can withdraw it if these terms are broken.
  • Your data is yours. You can download it and delete it. We don’t sell it. See the privacy policy.
  • You choose limited or full usage analytics. Limited is the least we need to run the app; either way we never include your amounts, notes or names, and we never sell or share your data (section 5).
  • Use Xpense fairly. Don’t attack it, overload it or use it to harm others.
  • Xpense is provided as it is. We work hard on it, but we can’t promise it is always available or free of mistakes.

1. What Xpense is

Xpense lets you record income, spending, savings goals, bills and shopping trips, and shows figures such as what is available this month. The figures are calculated from what you enter. If an entry is wrong or missing, the figures will be too.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing in Xpense, including budgets, forecasts, warnings, goal pace and emails, is advice about what you should do with your money. Make your own decisions, and speak to a qualified professional where you need advice. Xpense does not connect to your bank, move money or make payments on your behalf.

3. Access and your account

  • Xpense is invite-only. You sign in with a Google account that has been invited. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access.
  • Keep your Google account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
  • We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

4. Your data

What you enter is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Xpense for you: saving it, syncing it between your devices, and sending the emails you have chosen. We don’t sell it or use it for advertising. You can download it at any time and delete your synced copy or your whole account. How we handle it in detail is in the privacy policy.

5. Usage analytics and your data

To keep Xpense working and improve it, we measure how it is used. You choose how much, on the banner that asks the first time you visit and in Preferences any time after:

  • Limited analytics are the least we need to run the app, and they are a condition of using it. They count page views, errors, how fast pages load, whether syncing works, that the app was opened and the sign-in steps. No id is kept on your device, and none of it is linked to your account, name or email.
  • Full analytics are your choice. They also tell us which screens and features you use (for example that an entry was added, a bill paid or a goal created, with rough sizes such as “1–5 entries”), tied to an anonymous account id, so we can see what is worth improving.

Whichever you choose, we promise that:

  • your amounts, notes, descriptions, the names of your categories, goals, trips or stores, and your email address are never put into analytics;
  • we do not sell your data or share it with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else for their own purposes;
  • we use it only to run and improve Xpense. The analytics provider (Mixpanel) processes it for us, under our instructions, for that purpose only.

Choosing limited analytics never reduces what you can do in Xpense. If you don’t agree to limited analytics, please don’t use Xpense; you can stop at any time by deleting your account. The privacy policy has the details.

6. Using Xpense fairly

Please don’t:

  • try to get into another person’s data, or test the security of Xpense without asking us first;
  • overload the service, or collect data from the signed-in app in bulk. Automated tools and AI assistants acting on your behalf are welcome within the limits described in our llms.txt, and we may slow or block traffic that goes beyond them;
  • use Xpense to break the law, or to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
  • copy, resell or rebuild Xpense, or remove its branding.

7. Emails

Xpense sends emails that relate to your account and your own data, such as a monthly statement, bill reminders and goal updates. You can switch each kind off under Preferences, or with the unsubscribe link in any email. We may still send essential messages about your account or access.

8. Our work and the service

Xpense, its design, name, logo and code belong to Credeer and its licensors. These terms give you the right to use Xpense, not to own any part of it. Xpense is early software. We may change it, add or remove features, or pause it for maintenance, and we will try to give notice of significant changes.

9. No guarantees

Xpense is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error free or suitable for a particular purpose, or that every figure is exact. Keep your own record of anything important, and download a copy of your data from time to time.

10. Limit of our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Credeer is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss that comes from a decision you made using Xpense. Our total responsibility to you for any claim relating to Xpense is limited to what you paid us for it in the previous 12 months, which for an invite-only beta is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Xpense at any time and delete your account from Preferences. We may end or suspend access as described above. When an account is deleted, the data linked to it is removed from our systems, apart from backups that age out on the schedule in the privacy policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant. Continuing to use Xpense after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica,United States. Disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go elsewhere.
